Congratulations on joining the Our Lady of the Lake University family! We are excited to help our new students prepare for their first year at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú with a multi-part orientation program packed with resources for success. Whether you are a first-year student coming from high school or transferring from another institution, Lake Day Orientation and Camp Blue Nation will help you learn about ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú and transition to your new home away from home. This orientation program is mandatory for all incoming undergraduate students.

Part 1: Lake Day Orientation

Lake Day Orientation (LDO) is a full-day program designed to introduce students and their families to what life is like at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú.

At LDO, you will:

  • Make connections with faculty, staff, upperclassmen and other incoming students
  • Learn about the ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú mission and culture
  • Explore the many support services at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú
  • Talk directly with your professors and learn about the requirements of your intended major and minor
  • Take advantage of multiple opportunities to get your financial aid and advising questions answered

Part 2: Blue Nation Welcome

Blue Nation Welcome is a two-day program designed to ensure all new incoming students are ready for their first day, semester and year at ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú.

At Blue Nation Welcome, you will:

  • Get your official ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú student ID (picture taken during Lake Day Orientation)
  • Make connections with other new students and upperclassmen
  • Attend Blue Nation Convocation, the official welcome and blessing of new students
  • Learn about and participate in traditions such as Providence Path
  • Get answers to any questions you may have before classes start on Monday
  • And much more!

Friday, August 14 – Saturday, August 15

Get Ready

Before attending Lake Day Orientation, be sure to complete the following steps:

  • Set up your ºÃÉ«ÏÈÉú password
  • Submit your $100 enrollment deposit
  • Review your financial aid award (when available)
  • Meet with an academic adviser and register
  • Submit your residence hall application and fee (if living on campus)
  • Select and set up payment arrangements
